How to Add Google Adsense Ad Code
Step 1: Go to your Google Adsense account and click on Ads on the left column.
Step 2: Go to Create a New Ad Unit and select Display Ads.
Step 3: Create a name for your ad unit.
Step 4: For a sidebar ad, you will pick Square or Vertical. Choose Responsive for the Ad Size.
Step 5: After saving your ad unit, copy the HTML code provided by Google Adsense.
Step 6: From your WordPress Dashboard, to to Appearance and then Widgets. Drag an HTML widget from the left side of the screen over to the Primary Sidebar. Paste your adsense code into the widget and click Save.
Why Am I Unable to See My Google Adsense Ad?
You will likely see a blank space where your ad code appears on the sidebar. You should clear your browser cache and delete your cookies. If you have ad blocking software installed on your browser, disable it when viewing your site.
